Why not use MVC Html Helpers?

Trying to learn benefits of using KO with MVC. I notice in your views that you use standard HTML <input> tags. Curious as to why you would not use the Html Helpers @Html.TextBoxFor(m=>m.FirstName), for example?

It's just that if I use MVC part of it is to use the conventions to help me build HTML, not to actually code out the <input> tags (I know that's what the helpers are doing anyway).

Just wondering.

Thanks for any response.

P.S. And thanks for putting together an EXCELLENT tutorial right on the front page of the repository, it's very comprehensive!
